Veronicah is given a year of tuition and a uniform for 2012!
posted January 4, 2012

The start of the New Year brings so many opportunities to improve and fresh beginnings. In Veronicah’s case the New Year was a source for anxiety because her school year begins January 3rd, 2012 and she was unsure if she would be able to attend her third year of high school. The economic hardships are hitting everywhere extreemly hard and Gerizim, the home where Veronicah lives is faced with choosing which of their students they can support to send back to school due to the high costs of Secondary School (High School).
Your generous donations of a year of tuition and a uniform could not have come at a better time! Veronicah will be trilled to learn she will be funded the full year. And the school uniform will ensure she has new clothes to return to school with which the home resports has a significant impact on the students confidences.
Thank you all for giving Veronicah a fresh beginning free from stress for 2012!!

Ann is supported for her second year!
posted December 16, 2011

- Ann’s first year of tuition was given to her through SeeYourImpact in 2010. Ann’s access to education had previously been a challenge as she was passed from her mother, to her grandmother and most recently to her uncle who was struggling to support her.
- Thanks to donors like you on SeeYourImpact, Ann was able to attend school at one of the top schools in Kenya called Njonjo Girls High. Ann still plans to pursue her dream of becoming a pediatrician. Ann was successful in her first year at Njonjo scoring 798 total points out of 1100, which is a B average. Ann scored highest in Swahili and Biology. Her B average was excellent considering Ann’s previous spotty educational background. Thank you for your continued support of Ann!!

Thank you for helping Regina fight for her future!
posted August 29, 2011

Regina is 15 years old, and is one of 7 children in her family. Her mother is raising Regina and her siblings alone, and does not have the funds to send all of the children to school.
Because Regina is female, educating her is a lower priority. Regina submitted a letter to LittleDrops requesting assistance with her education. As she put it, she is “ready to fight for her future”, and promises to make good marks so that she can fulfill her dream of attending university so she can help needy children in the future.
Thank you for supporting Regina’s education!

Susan is able to continue onto secondary school!
posted August 8, 2011

Susan is 15 years old and has been an orphan since she was in grade 5, when her single mother passed away. Susan ended up in Gerzim Primary school and orphanage. She performed well in primary school, but was unable to continue onto secondary school as she had no other known family members to support the cost of education.
In her letter to LittleDrops Orphanage Fund she stated “I have been learning by the help of well wishers. I do not know my fortune as I wait to join high school next year. I request any well wishers to help me get funds for my education.” Your generous support has allowed Susan to continue her education this year!
Thank you all so much for your support of Susan’s continued education!

posted April 25, 2011

Mary has been with the Hopeful Grandmothers Orphanage since age 3 when she was abandoned by her mother. The grandmothers believe her mother passed away and her fathers whereabouts are unknown.
Mary has performed well in her studies and plans to continue onto university to study Social Work. Her dream is to one day work with UNICEF in order to have a positive impact on other needy children. Although her aspirations are high, school has been a hardship to afford and it was unclear whether she would be able to continue on with her education.
Thank you so much for helping Mary work towards her dreams by supporting her education!

Peter dreams of becoming a doctor!
posted April 25, 2011

Thank you Crossroad Campus Ministry for your support of Peter’s education! Peter has been with Hopeful Grandmothers Orphanage in Kenya since age 7 and is currently supported by his Grandfather.
Peter has a plan for his future! He is a junior at Ndururumo High School and plans on becoming a doctor researching infectious diseases. Peter is described by the Grannies as “one of the funniest kids ever” and uses his sense of humor to communicate with his peers about HIV prevention in the Hopeful Grandmothers HIV Education Program. Despite his dream of becoming a doctor, money has been limited and his opportunity to continue studies has wavered.
Your support of Peter’s education is a wonderful gift that will enable him to continue focusing on his studies and maintain good grades so that he can get into a good university. Thank you so much for your generosity!

Susan is able to attend Secondary school!
posted April 7, 2011

Thank you all for your support of Susan’s education and school uniform. Susan wrote to LittleDrops Orphanage Fund in May of 2010 to request asstance for her education. Susan is part of the Gerizim Orphanage and School in Kenya and is one of six children.
In her family Susan is considered a lower priority for continuing her education because she is female and old enough to work and contribute to family income. Susan states, “my hopes are high to reach a good secondary school whereby I will work hard to achieve good grades to take me to University.” Her ultimate goal is to one day extend a hand to other needy children.
Your generosity has given Susan the opportunity to continue her education in Secondary School. Thank you!
